Building a Path Towards Healing and Growth with William

I became a therapist because I believe in the transformative power of therapy and its ability to destigmatize mental health.  I’m passionate about fostering a strong therapeutic relationship, one built on empathy, loyalty, and trust. Witnessing my clients feel respected, cared for, and understood as they learn to navigate their mental well-being is incredibly rewarding. I am also a LGBTQIA+ allied therapist.

A Humanistic Approach

My approach is deeply rooted in Humanistic Therapy. I prioritize building a safe and supportive space where we can explore your unique experiences.  Through unconditional positive regard and compassion, I aim to empower you to feel validated in your emotions. Together, we’ll utilize validation and change techniques to help you navigate challenges and create positive life transformations.

Understanding Your Thoughts & Emotions

I believe that understanding the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors is key to personal growth.  By incorporating principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we can work together to identify any unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to your struggles.  By recognizing these patterns, we can develop effective strategies to manage them and achieve greater emotional well-being.

Areas of Expertise:

I specialize in a variety of areas, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), men’s and women’s issues, body image concerns, and self-esteem challenges.  As a multiculturally competent and LGBTQ+ affirming provider, I’m committed to creating a welcoming space for individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. I have several years of experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy at the community and outpatient levels of treatment. I have also had years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum providing applied behavioral analysis therapeutic treatment.

Ages:

I’m comfortable working with adolescents (ages 12 and up) and adults (up to age 60).

Type of clients I see:
